Conservative MPs in East Sussex have told the Green Party/Lib-Dem/Labour leadership of Wealden District Council to "come clean" over its actions and to "stop dithering".
In a letter from the MPs for Sussex Weald, Bexhil & Battle and East Grinstead & Uckfield, Wealden's leadership is accused of inaction and misleading statements over Government plans to house hundreds of illegal migrants in the Crowborough Army Camp.
Conservative member for Sussex Weald, Nusrat Ghani, said "I continue to desperately seek answers and evidence from Wealden District Council that they will firmly stand up for residents and take legal action against the Home Office regarding Crowborough Training Camp. Today I have written to them again, asking they urgently clarify and evidence what action they are taking."
